We're not fans of all the plastic water bottles thrown into landfills, so we were excited to see try Sana's new filtration bottle. The reason people buy plastic bottles is the convenience and taste, and this bottle's filter takes care of that. Maybe the biggest advantage from our perspective is that each filter cartridge is good for 300 liters of water, which could keep a lot of plastic out of the ocean.
In terms of use, the bottle is very simple. The filter has a relatively low resistance, so it's easy to drink from the bottle. The flavor of the water is definitely improved. It's also useful as a hygienic way to store juice, as the bottle is food-grade stainless steel and the cap and filter are BPA-free.
Keep in mind that the standard filter is designed just to improve tap water flavor and filter out larger particles. It won't remove pathogens, but there is an optional filter available for that if you are hiking or backpacking.
